ERGO project repository
An online resource for researchers, practitioners and academics with an interest in mass evacuation.

Welcome to the Evacuation Responsiveness by Government Organisations (ERGO) project repository, an online resource for researchers, practitioners and academics with an interest in mass evacuation.

This repository was established as an online storehouse for material connected to the ERGO project, a three-year research study, concluded December 2010, conducted by Aston Business School into the challenges of mass evacuation. The repository both fulfils the research team’s commitment to disseminate their findings to the widest possible audience, and provides an insight into the team’s activities for those with an interest in studying mass evacuation.

The repository offers a comprehensive resource for the ERGO project. Items within the repository include:

  • Journal articles based on data collected during the project.
  • Country-by-country reports on preparations for mass evacuation.
  • Audio files; videos; and associated multi-media from throughout the project’s duration.
  • Links to essential websites related to mass evacuation.
  • Presentations made by practitioners from across the world on their preparations for mass evacuation.
  • Papers and material from the InterCEPt, a mass evacuation-themed conference held at Aston University.
  • Custom-made presentations on mass evacuation narrated by the ERGO research team.

The material from the ERGO project is a starting point for the development of a wide-ranging repository about mass evacuation, and new resources will be added as research in the field develops.
